How to prepare your Kakaw Blend

Step 1: Choose the amount of cocoa powder

  • For regular use, use 10 grams of cocoa powder.
  • For ceremonial use, increase the amount to 20-25 grams for a deeper and more refined taste experience.

Step 2: Choose the liquid and quantity

  • Measure 125 milliliters of plant-based milk. Choose almond, coconut or oat milk for a creamy texture.
  • Or opt for water for a lighter, less intense taste.
  • Use 200 milliliters of plant-based milk or water for ceremonial use.

Step 3: Heat the liquid

  • Heat the chosen liquid in a saucepan over low heat until it reaches a temperature of about 70 degrees Celsius. This ensures that the cocoa dissolves well and the flavors mix.

Step 4: Froth/ blend for a creamy texture

  • Use our milk frother to mix your drink until it is creamy and frothy. This adds a delicious texture to your cocoa drink.

Step 5: Enjoy your cocoa drink

  • Pour your hot and creamy cocoa drink into a cup or mug.
  • Add some extra sweetener if you wish, such as honey, agave or coconut syrup.
